within patchouli's grace -- C
candle girl, your spark
is more than a flame:
your essence is not sadness,
but the dusky tones of rose
amidst sandalwood and sage --
a cacophony of life has been
let loose in your soul,
filling your stardust skeleton to brimming
with hope and possibilities.
echoes spill from your lips,
and there was a time
your fingers shone
with potential, your toes curled
with joy; it is in you to reach--
find your centre, burn the stars
in the wild land of your heart,
learn the cry of the eagles,
travel the great depths of life
on a whale's tale and come home,
flushed and breathing,
to spin your tale.

Enceladus Redshifted
There was a time
when we sounded
the charge through
burning space,
and laid waste
among deities;
your lips pluming
with plasma,
my satellite
fragments orbiting
around your chest
my candid love,
your gravitational
unrest pulled us
apart,
your journeys
around the sun
left my cryovolcanos
erupting all at once
and my surface
to freeze until
my smile was
solid permafrost.
In this universe
of make believe
I like to call myself
a planetary collapse
ejecting
cosmic irony
in ringlike patterns;
but know dear that
there’s still enough
geological fire inside
for me to spin
an even greater
magnetic field,
able to hold you
tight
