shadow games, lights and strangled stars feed your mind. to the girl teaching herself to fly: in sun bathing, and fleeting moments, caress the sun. then, as a flower of the field (just an echo) extinguish your fireworks: bow, coming home and sparkling, dew dressed, under the stars.

TODAY!!! Hug a Deviant Day 2014

The first Hug a Deviant Day was hosted in 2010 and we had an amazing response; hundreds of deviants hugged and shared a personal note or two... it was wonderful! Thus I want to do it again this year :thumb113424330: What is this?    On March 27th it's a day for deviants to go about and leave their fellow deviants a sentence or two of love, thanks, appreciation, gratitude or compliments. You can do this via note, comment or another method if you have one on dA. Kind of like Valentines Day for deviantART.    It doesn't have to be anything fancy; just a quick :thumb41714693: Thanks for being such an awesome deviant and amazing friend :thu

Uluru

delivered from bygone sands and shifted forth with myth and lore --a dreamtime swallowed into a culture birthed in the fantastical (tales of giant tiddilik the frog, drinking dry an ocean; or the people spearing a blasted 'roo, the way he earned himself his own tail)-- a consciousness of soil indelible as sun burnt into skin; this land is swept along in the winds, thrust into caverns and echoed along the plains building monuments and tearing down the ache between the remmebered and the forgotten. uluru bleeds memories, and reddened dirt, and summer thirst.

Gather the Roses, my Love, And Fly Away

Gather the Roses, my Love, And Fly Away I hope to awaken in autumn one day And find myself alone, like these withered leaves Gather the roses, my love, and fly away Fate came, and tore us - thus were we set astray Too late were we, for this weight that would not leave I hope to awaken in autumn one day The waves of the sea, their tides striking the bay An undefined weight, a hard burden they heave Gather the roses, my love, and fly away This soul is lost, its cries led by the wind's sway A heart taken, its pieces lost from each cleave I hope to awaken in autumn one day Markings left show life, as you would always say The sea which cared

Evening Ballad -- C

Shattered clocks, and grains of sand seep away. Shadowy contours, as the shrieks of owls ricochet in the sky, and the smile in your shoulders is a sleeping silhouette of whispers; constellations weeping for the gods in the stars. The looming trees below creak and sough in harmony; whilst wolves howl their agony to the moon, a night song of sussuration and substance. You, asleep, and beautiful, and full (oh-so-full) of stardust, are your own aria.

Love dA Lit: Issue 137

Welcome to the one-hundred thirty-seventh issue of Love dA Lit!    Every Sunday this article will aim to promote volunteer opportunities, various resources, prompts, challenges, and workshops, as well as highlighting various contests, and spotlighting a specific group or project for two weeks. This is by no means a complete list of all the literature going-ons, merely a tool to help you get involved and stay informed. Love dA Lit is back after its hiatus! :eager: I've cleaned up quite a few things and edited out anything that was outdated or no longer relevant. The Community Portal is still going to be on hiatus for a bit longer, but I'll ge
